I will probably get this wrong, because it's based on an explanation from a friend forty years ago, but I think the point of CS healing is not that there is divine intervention (or something else miraculous). Instead, it is more like convincing yourself through prayer that the ailment doesn't exist at all, because God wouldn't inflict something like that on us. My understanding therefore is that the help from God is more along the lines of assistance in mind over matter. Or something. A lot of people find CS healing ideas horrifying (especially when the result is that children are medically untreated), but I don't know that it is really much worse than the idea that a positive attitude during treatment will provide an edge over cancer or other diseases, which adds stigma to all the patient's other problems - if they don't get well, it's their own fault. (rant over).
