Realm: Those Wacky Germans - Subrealm: Limerick!

Grace and I wrote this as a way of celebrating the characteristic features of the local dialect. (And Faßnacht)

Es waren in Konstanz zwei Blätzle
Die saßen zusammen am Plätzle.
Sie bestellten Glühwein,
Und Bockwurst von Schwein,
Und dazu ein´ groß´ Haufen Spätzle.

There once were (in Konstanz) two Blätzle
(those Faßnacht-people dressed like minimalistic medieval chickens)
Sitting together in the
Plätzle (small square)
They ordered
Glühwein
And Wurst (from a swine)
And also a whole heap of
Spätzle.

(Glühwein: Mulled wine. Spätzle: those odd egg-noodly things.)

Catching up: some more alliteration

Wow. I went for a week to Berlin ("business" trip)
after LiveJ had been Low-key: not a lot of posts
from freunden und familie on my Friends list.
And of GOURSE it´s while I´m gone that gobs of people
repeatedly post, and the postings pile up:
Sovay starts threads concerning crustaceans (crunchy!),
Seth ponders postings, and people who are absent,
Professors get Catilinarian pished,
Eeblet wird erkältet, swallows strange things, recovers.
I can´t possibly comment on all of these posts!
Nor even read them all; and writing reports
of my trip to the capitol takes lots of time.
Apologies! I should in any case
research relations between Radolfzell
(and other small centers) and Constance, as commanded.

But now more on Berlin.
