This paper really sucks, but I'm declaring it done.

What paper?

Oh, I have definitely had those moments :)

Just look on the bright side: I guarantee that you are a better writer than my painfully incompetent (if brilliant in other, non-coherent-writing ways) coworker.

The number of papers I have submitted knowing that they suck with epic proportions is amazing. The only thing more amazing is getting H(onors) for such sucky papers. The question is: are the proffs so stupid that they don't see through the bullshit and give out Hs for said BS, with comments that make it seem like the papers of suckyness merit the said high grade? OR! Am I a lot smarter than I think I am? OR Can I couch suckynes in suitably high quality BS to fool the said proffs?

Sorry--this is the paper on German economic history 1200-1500 that I've been working on for the published proceedings of that conference I didn't actually get to attend. And that I've been bitching about for the last six months. This was revision, like, #3.
PS: You're still interested in hanging out Thanksgiving weekend, right?

Okay. I had a hideous moment wondering if you were writing another paper.

You're still interested in hanging out Thanksgiving weekend, right?

Absolutely.
