Realm: Week in Review
"Uhhh..." I said to my counselor on Friday. "What the Sam Hill were we talking about last week?"
"..."
"It's been sort of a crazy week. Last...what was it, Thursday?" "Friday." "Right, seems life a really long time ago. I think I told you I was going to have Peter visiting this past weekend?"
"Yeah, how did that go?"
"Uh, pretty well, I mean as Peter visits go."
Which is to say,
- Friday was mosly taken up with picking him up from school and then driving home.
- Saturday was a whirl of activity, as we went on a quick hike with my Dad in the morning, followed by pizza. (Given that Dad and I are...well, more or less in temporary truce mood, this went weirdly normal.) THEN I'd agreed to get Peter's hair cut (which went fine), and then we went to the library, and then I'd promised him a trip to the playground. (Which was actually kinda fun.)
- Sunday I don't even remember what we did. Did we wind up going to the playground twice? Yeah, that's right. ANd he wanted us to be Danny and Wendell--and various other characters--fromursulav's books. And the second time Mitbewohner was kind enough to do a photo shoot of us.
I think that was most of the day. To resume:
The rest of last week was complicated by the fact that I had:
- Not enough sleep over the weekend, which indirectly meant Monday was pretty much a loss,
- Various sketchy insurance companies trying to recruit me,
- USPS orientation on Tuesday and Wednesday. (Substance: Boring.
Verdict: their safety procedures are much more sensible, and their approach to them seems likely to be much more sane, than Goodwill's.)
- Yet ANOTHER editing project due on Thursday. This mean that sleep did not really happen on Wednesday night, especially since I'd
- Agreed to go to Dan's latest play, Caryl Churchill's A Number, on Wednesday night...after first driving directly from USPS to his temp job, and then going out to the nearest pub for dinner.

So Friday I mostly collapsed, before and after said appointment. And Saturday I had a bunch of meetup-group people and actual friends over for some delicious cake.
...So anyway, that's why I haven't posted anything in the last week.
