Con thoughts

I read that and immediately thought "Oh, hell, if it's a con, I have to make a costume." Which is ridiculous, because one never has to wear costumes to a con of any sort.
One of my favorites of other people is Erin McKean's famous dress for a crossword puzzle gathering

While tidying, getting ready for houseguests, I came across the embroidered bell patch that was on my jeans in the early 1980s, and I have t-shirts from that time period. If I were doing something *really* vintage, I'd try to find photos of women ringing in 1919, but I need to be constantly cleaning (or planning, or studying). The only woman on bboard in 1919 is listed by her "married" name, so I have had no luck in tracking her down, and there is no photo.
