Realm: Kvetching - Subrealm: about choirs

Things I am tired of:

* Directors pretending that a concert has a theme. Can't we all just admit that this is "a bunch of pieces we thought would be fun"?

* Being massively under-rehearsed in Collegium; resulant Hell Week, a the end of which we are STILL under-rehearsed.

* Conductors who add pieces at the last minute.

Also annoying: the fact that I'm going to have to skip out on the canapes and ceviche early--or possibly altogether--in order to go meet one of my employers. sigh. On the other hand, most of my nearest and dearest are going to miss the concert altogether.

Still no job, still no internet connection on my laptop.

Why do you have to skip out early? Concert at 5:15 (right?), canapes and ceviche should be pretty much over with by 7:30; the reading doesn't START till 7, and he wants to meet you afterwards. So you could plan on being in Wallingford at 8 and still have time to eat plenty of chicken on sticks, I'd think.
