Oct. 19th, 2007 08:31 amThings that are bad:
* Continued lack of internet. Mem.: Go to computer store on Saturday, find out if cheap-@$$ wireless card will do the trick. If not, reconnect DSL service (groan...)
* Also, my printer is apparently expressing solidarity by going on strike. Or committing suicide: I'm not sure which.
* Ditto my computer battery.
* Dropping heavy recycling container on my toe on Wednesday, causing me enough pain to go get it X-rayed.
* 70+ degree weather in mid-October = DO NOT WANT.
* Ever-increasing tendency to speak in memism.
ADDENDUM
Being involved in an accident--even a minor one, in which you were a passenger--when it's pouring with rain, and the cops take forever to turn up.
Somewhat more positively, Yale Recycling managed to unload a massive collection of books--including the box o' pulp novels--onto the Andrews Society Book Sale.
And yesterday we spent four hours on a train (bad) to go down to New York for a ridonkulously swanky alumni reception for my high school (good), where I forgot to drink anything much beyond champagne (good at the time, bad now...)
