(no subject)

Currently recovering (I hope) from a bout of what turned out to be the 'flu. I had been assuming I just had a Cold Of Doom, since several people I know have had such. Mine, I thought, was merely an iconoclastic cold, that has decided that stuffed-up noses are SO passé, and has decided to focus instead on the traditional "extras" of cold: sinus headaches, sore throat, and doing something to your ear that you only HOPE isn't going to be an infection. And knocking you flat, but that's a symptom of Death Colds too.
It occurred to me belatedly (i.e. yesterday, after two or three days of it) that I might have the flu, although it didn't feel to ME as though I had a fever, and it didn't really feel like my past experience of influenza. And anyway, the treatment is about the same: drink lots of fluids, try to take it easy, wait for it to go away. But I thought I'd better be certain, so I headed out to the CVS and bought a thermometer.

Now I'm just hoping I haven't given the flu to my Aunt, my housemates, and the entire choir...
