sovay, I took your unGodson to the beach at Portland Head today, and I thought of you. You would have enjoyed poking into tidepools and pretending to be marine iguanas, sitting on rocks with waves crashing next to or around us; you might even have been able to keep up with him running over rocks. (You might have gotten bored, as I did, rebuilding and re-repairing the same sand tower for like two hours straight; although we did get it up to nearly "Time" scale.)

I got sunburned, and Peter now has some rash that may or may not be poison ivy; but it was still a fun day.

I gave the donut to derspatchel: it's a potato* donut from The Holy Donut in Portland. I wanted to prove that that was a thing.
(The texture is not all that it might be, but that's "eight hours in a hot car", rather than anything intrinsic to their wares...)

*Not straight potato--there's regular flour in there too--although HD /does/ make the former, as well.
