It actually went pretty well: once I got through the phone tree to a human customer service agent, she was very efficient and helpful, and my insurance is going to cover at least SOME (and hopefully most) of the cost of my emergency room visit+whatever else was included in that bill, and then re-bill me.
But the amounts that we, as a society, must be spending on health insurance claims adjusters...
