choco_froshGrace and I wrote this as a way of celebrating the characteristic features of the local dialect. (And Faßnacht)
Es waren in Konstanz zwei Blätzle
Die saßen zusammen am Plätzle.
Sie bestellten Glühwein,
Und Bockwurst von Schwein,
Und dazu ein´ groß´ Haufen Spätzle.
There once were (in Konstanz) two Blätzle
(those Faßnacht-people dressed like minimalistic medieval chickens)
Sitting together in the Plätzle (small square)
They ordered Glühwein
And Wurst (from a swine)
And also a whole heap of Spätzle.
(Glühwein: Mulled wine. Spätzle: those odd egg-noodly things.)
