OK, all: anybody know a song, probably beginning "There came a knock on the shepherd's door..." with a chorus something like the following?

Date: 2019-05-30 05:02 pm (UTC)Outside of Shakespeare, the only song I know with "Oh, the wind and the rain!" in the chorus is a version of "The Two Sisters" sung by Jody Stecher.
That said, the thing you're looking for does not look totally alien to me, and I can't tell if that means I heard it once on WUMB when I was like six or whether you've sung it or whether it just looks like the folk tradition. I'd ask
