COVID Levels, 10/12/2026
Oct. 16th, 2026 10:45 amCOVID Cases:
The number of cases in Massachusetts* for the week of Oct. 4–10 was 694. This is lower than the last time I checked (week ending Oct. 3), but still more than five times higher than levels July 5–11.
Over the same week, there were 56 confirmed cases in Boston, 6 in Cambridge, and < unknown > in Somerville.
* That's confirmed AND suspected cases, as reported here.
Wastewater Levels in Greater Boston: Around 185 V/PMMoV.** Verily.com is still describing this as "low" (and it is in fact down a bit from last week), but it's still more than twice the level we had back in August.
** As of 12 Oct. And that's "copies of SARS-COVID RNA per million copies of PMMoV (Pepper mild mottle virus) RNA in the wastewater", as reported here. The non-normalized figure is...still around 400 Bobcat-Robots?
