choco_frosh | Realm: Philosophizing

My computer FINALLY arrived today. It took eight eight weeks (ok, factoring in the time required to extract it from the computer repair people after Grace had left, ship it transatlantic, and contact the fedex people to discover that I needed to fax them enough documentation to get the damn thing through customs) to correct a fault caused by a loose wire in the hinges. And what with the cost of the labor, a whole new frickin´screen, and shipping, it might have been cheeper to just buy a new one. Or a secondhand, crappy, but functional machine like the one I wrote my senior thesis with. CERTAINLY would have made sense to take the thing to the guy in Friedrickshafen on my way home, instead of sending it back to New Haven with Grace.
Sigh. I´m annoyed with these Apple certified technicians. Why can´t I just summon Dave Ramos when I need him (1/1, T: regenerate target computer system)?
