Mar. 21st, 2024 07:53 pmCOVID Levels (as of 18. March) : After bouncing back up above 500 Bobcat-Robots last week, we are now down to 330 Bobcat Robots. Fingers crossed.
I cam still trying to catch up on household stuff that didn't happen because I was out of town last weekend. And I'm pretty sure I mailed off my taxes WITHOUT a W-2, so I get to do that over again...
ETA: It took FAR too long on hold with the IRS, but I at length determined that I probably don't need to send them the W-2 by separate cover, UNLESS something really funky happens (in which case it'll be up to them to contact me.) So there's THAT, at least.
COVID levels as of 20. March are now below 300 B-Rs.

Feb. 22nd, 2024 12:46 pmCOVID Levels (as of 20. Feb.) : down to 600 Bobcat-Robots. Yay, progress.
Meantime, went out this morning to discover that my car battery was flat. AGAIN.
ETA: I eventually dealt with the battery problem by what might be called the [Former Roommate M] route: I went out and bought a giant battery/jumpstarter/tire pump, for about a hundred bucks that I could only sort of afford.

TWO MEDICAL THINGS:
COVID Levelson the eve of Arisia (i.e. as of 1/4): 2400 Bobcat-Robots, although they appear to be declining.
At the suggestion of
teenybuffalo, I have started reading Leech by Hiron Ennes. In a moment of boredom this afternoon, I googled "Doctor Hivemind", and discovered to my mild horror that most of the top results appear to be serious news articles, and 0 appear to be about this book.
"A Hive Mind of Doctors Can Mean Better Care for Patients - TIME"
EXCITING ETA, 1/10: Closer to the eve of Arisia (as of 1/8), CoViD levels have indeed declined, down to 1800 Bobcat-Robots!
(Which I realize is still pretty high, and substantially higher than the same time last year, but a lot better than the recent 2700 Bobcat-Robot peak.)

Jan. 4th, 2024 04:46 pmMeantime, this evening I need to (somehow, and not nec. in this order):
- Go grocery shopping
- De-decorate and yeet the tree
- Do some Duo
- Do like another hour of work
________
COVID Levels (as of 12/27): Approaching 2100 Bobcat-Robots,* i.e. somewhat HIGHER than last year. (FML)
* Again, that's my self-invented unit for "Copies of CoViD RNA per mL of wastewater in the Boston-area North System, as reported at https://www.mwra.com/biobot/biobotdata.htm." (The name was inspired by the Pirate-Ninja + "Trochee Fixation", with a side order of "Package contained bobcat.")

Nov. 29th, 2023 12:50 pmCOVID Levels (as of 11/27): Up to about 500 Bobcat-Robots.* We will continue to monitor the situation closely, esp. since this is the time of year when they traditionally start spiking.

500 Bobcat-Robots is our cutoff for reinstating the mask mandate for bellringing in Boston.
