We're in ... probably not quite a drought but we've gotten about 3 cm. of rain in the last month. ETA: OH, NO, that's a drought. Turns out we went 29 days with 0 rain. And then it rained an inch. Two weeks ago.

And meanwhile, North Carolina's flooded by Hurricane Helene, and most of Britain is under flood watches, with more rain expected.

Not sure whether I'm actually sick (with something that might be CoViD), or just sick of my job/depressed and drinking too much coffee to try to compensate.

I hate the circumstances that gave us the Biden presidency in the first place, but I hate even more that we are now probably in a position where our only hope is for the the Democratic Party's officially chosen candidate to announce - AFTER every single primary has picked him - that he's dropping out of the race.
